Associate Professor
James Corcoran is in his eleventh year as the Director of Percussion
Studies at the University of the
Cumberlands where he serves as the Assistant Marching Band
Director and Percussion Coordinator of the University of the
Cumberlands Drumline.
Mr. Corcoran has taught as an adjunct instructor at Cumberland
College, Transylvania University, Asbury College, Midway College and
the University of Kentucky. He currently resides as President of
the Kentucky Chapter
of the Percussive Arts Society. He co-hosted the 2003- 2008
Kentucky Day of Percussion and is also Chair of the KY PAS All-State
Percussion Committee. Mr. Corcoran serves as an adjunct instructor
for the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts, and is an
artist/clinician for Innovative Percussion, Inc. |

John Willmarth is an
active performer, composer, author, and educator in the central
Kentucky area. He serves as Director of Percussion and Coordinator
of Jazz Studies at Lafayette High School. At the University of
Kentucky, he is an adjunct faculty member specializing in drumset
studies. At Jesse Clark and Edythe J. Hayes Middle Schools he
tutors young percussionists. In addition, Mr. Willmarth maintains
a private teaching studio at the Don Wilson Music Company in
Lexington. He is an artist/clinician for Innovative Percussion,
Evans Drumheads and the Yamaha Corporation of America. For more
